De Paises Project is a Multi diverse Project that promotes the music roots and Folklore of the Americas, through the mixture of musics around the globe, utilizing the elements and escense of jazz.

In 2005 the group recorded their first live DVD at the Arturo Sandoval Jazz Club in Miami

The Project released thei first album in 2007 "Guayaland", recorded at Bennet Studios in NJ and released in Miami at the Gibson Showroom. The new album will be released under De Paises Music label later this year.

De Paises Project was one of the two selected groups to participate in the "Promissing Artists of the 21 st Century ptogram" along with the Julliard Jazz Ensamble.

The Project has been the cover for the Miami Herald, Invited to the opening of the Bass museum of Miami , Guest artist for the Brooklin music school Festival.

De Paises Project have also been invited to festivals like Jazz to the Park,sharing stage with legends like Joe Lovano.

From 2004, when it was founded,De Paises Project had home base Miami,  and in the last years it has moved its base to Bogota, New York and Chicago. Musicians that have been part of this project include: Norberto Ortiz, Jorge Malave, Mauricio Quiros, Brandon Wright, Ismael Bergara, Brian Lang, Ray Monrusso, Ari Karasson, Eddy Khaimovich,  and has had numerous concerts with musicians such as Fabian Almazan, Gabriel Guerrero,Samuel Torres,Gianluca Renzi and Wayne Tucker.

Currently the group features: Roy Assaf on Piano,Luques Curtis on Bass, Max Cudworth on Alto Saxophone,Alex Norris on Trumpet, and Victor Bastidas on Drums

Cuándo el afamado baterista Victor Bastidas fundó De Países Project en el 2004, probablemente no pudo imaginar el éxito que iba a tener con este grupo experimental. Hoy en día, la agrupación es una de las más exitosas y prestigiosas en el mundo del jazz internacional y ¡es un verdadero honor tenerla en el Festival Internacional de las Artes!
